Morning Routine
Cleansing:
Oily skin is naturally prone to dead skin buildup, blackheads and it also attracts grime and dust, thereby clogging the pores. To prevent this from happening start your morning oily skincare routine with a gentle BHA cleanser which will remove all of that excess oil along with the dirt and grime. Do not over-cleanse-wash your face twice a day at most! Over cleansing as washing your face too many times will remove all of these skin’s natural oils so much that they may produce even more oil just to combat their dryness instead of staying moisturised like you want them to be through those harsh winter months ahead.
Toning:
Toners are a must. They’re what keeps your skin clean and refreshed so that everything else you put on top of it will work better. The best toner is one that’s matched to the pH level of your skin type at this stage in the game (congrats!) because then there won’t be any weird reactions or worse yet – breakouts!
Moisturizing:
A lot of people believe they don’t need to use a moisturiser because their skin is oily. However, this myth can actually hurt your face! Using too much oil on your face could result in breakouts or clogged pores so it’s important that you find the right type of moisturiser for yourself and suitably apply it every day. If you have sensitive or irritated skins look for creams with soothing properties which will help reduce the irritation by providing hydration while reducing redness/inflammation from acne flare-ups.
Sun protection:
Sun protection is essential for your skin’s health. I recommend you use a sunscreen of SPF 50 and above to block out the harmful UV rays that cause premature ageing or cancer, depending on what type of skin tone you have. You should apply liberally with half a teaspoon per face – whatever be the shade!
Lip Balm:
This is the first step and it’s important. Prime your lips with a lip balm before you wear your favorite color to work.
Makeup:
Makeup can be a tricky subject, especially when you are looking for products that help reduce the appearance of acne. To start off with you should look into water-based foundations and keep in mind that some might not react well to certain skin types. The key is finding the one which will work best for your needs but also remember priming helps hold makeup on longer than without it!
Evening Routine
To start a good night’s sleep, it is important to remove any makeup that you may have on. Never go to bed with your makeup still intact as this can clog pores and aggravate skin conditions like acne or eczema. Begin by cleansing the face using an oil-based cleanser designed for sensitive skin types such as rosa mosqueta seed oil which will help cleanse without over-drying; follow this routine daily before applying moisturizer at least twice a day.
Toning your skin is important because it can have an impact on how large pores appear. Avoid overcompensating by using a moisturizer to keep the oil production level at bay, and mix in some night cream with your normal gel or day lotion so that you don’t irritate any dry patches of skin from too harsh ingredients as well.
